I started playing chess in the late 1960s. I really enjoy the game. I never studied chess. Just played with friends. After getting married in 84, chess was forgotten. My wife has no interest in it. Meanwhile we finally got into computers. Later I retired from the U.S. Postal Service. I was finding myself on the web doing mindless things. I remembered a letter chess game I tried years ago with a friend from my time in Colorado. The game was too slow and was forgotten unfinished. Although I keep busy, I have a lot of free time. I went on the web and found Chess.com and joined up. I submitted my friend Greg to the site. We now play chess on line. I'm learning how to play better chess. I'm joining chess clubs and am playing with people around the world in matches and in tournaments.
