The Official Autism Awareness Chess Group

We recognize all of the chess players who have Autism, Aspergers, or a combination of both. Autism is a neurological impairment of the brain. Symptoms may range from complete lack of everyday function, such as putting on a shirt, lacing shoe laces, eating, etc... It can also have a strong effect on social interactions. Many people who have Autism may not be as severely affected as others. Many people with autism turn out to be geniuses in many different ways whether it comes from chess, music, medicine, art etc... We salute you and welcome you into this group. We also welcome members who may have relatives or children with Autism or Aspergers. People with Autism might struggle with certain social aspects but when it comes to things we enjoy, We are the masters of our game :).
